$GTLB: AI SaaS Software stock for tactical and long-term tradeIn this blog space we focus a lot on the AI trade. Be it semiconductors, AI powered Cybersecurity, AI Powered Fintech or just the industry itself, but we have not quietly focused on the AI Software stocks. The second and third derivatives of the AI trade will be more on the software space than Semiconductors where most of the future value will be accrued. Now within the AI Software space we have discussed NASDAQ:CRWD strike as one of our favorites, but can there be other names which can give us a lot of Alpha in the near and long term?
In my opinion NASDAQ:GTLB is one such stock. Gitlab provides software developers productivity tools to develop software faster, better and securely. Coming back to the technical below we can see that lately the stock is stuck within the upward sloping channel on the weekly chart since the bear market lows of 2023. If we plot the Fib retracement level from the all-time highs to the all-time lows, we can see that on the weekly chart it is stuck below the 0.236 Fib level with an oversold RSI. But the recent price action indicates that even if we touched the lower bound of the price we saw after April 4 Lib Day lows, we are still holding an RSI of 41 indicating seller exhaustion. So, the next levels in the chart are 52 $ then 67 $ and then 80 $ in the medium term, which is well within the parallel channel.
Verdict: NASDAQ:GTLB target prices are 52 $ then 67 $ and then 80 $. Can be held for long term returns.
$CRWD: Relative outperformance compared to its peersCybersecurity is one of our favorite themes. This is known to all who have been following this blog space. We have been bullish on the tech sector AMEX:XLK and specifically in the sub sectors within the tech sector. Cybersecurity is one of them. Within Cybersecurity we have some stocks which have outperformed the rest of its peers. One such name is Crowdstrike. NASDAQ:CRWD after suffering a 50% correction last year outage which took its price to 200 $ has recovered the loss and has recovered all the losses and then some. The stock is up almost 140% from its lows.
An outperformer in an outperforming sector. In the chart we also look at the ratio between NASDAQ:CRWD to $HACK. The ATH for the ratio chart was 6. Currently we are @ 5.6 in the ratio chart. The price chart of NASDAQ:CRWD alone looks bullish. If we plot the Fib retracement level just before the 2024 downturn then the next level in the price chart is 520 $. My price target is 520 $ before we can target 700 $ in the medium term.

$SMH vs $HACK: Recent good correlation with breakout potentialMany market watchers will say that Semis are the most important stocks in the market. Semis are great from a market direction perspective. They are the best to indicate a downturn and the fastest to recover during a bull run. In this blog we have appreciated the relative resilience of the Cybersecurity stocks during the recent bear market. The cybersecurity ETF AMEX:HACK fell only 25 % during the 2025 bear market. NASDAQ:SMH fell almost 40% and NASDAQ:SMH / AMEX:HACK fell 35% which indicated the relative underperformance of Semis vs Cybersecurity in April. But form the lows of ‘Liberation Day’ NASDAQ:SMH and AMEX:HACK are trading with perfect correlation. But the question comes will NASDAQ:SMH claim the leadership and outperform AMEX:HACK if this bull market continues.
In the last 2024 Bull market NASDAQ:SMH significantly outperformed the $HACK. We are probably in the early days of this breakout outperformance. So. In my opinion in the near term NASDAQ:SMH outperforms $HACK. The ratio is at 96%. The ratio might touch the previous cycle highs of 160% if the momentum continues.

While researching how to fix this, I received an email with step-by-step instructions on what to do. Nothing about it seemed suspicious—not even the sender’s address. But when I used artificial intelligence (AI) to verify its authenticity, it was flagged as suspicious.
A few years ago, phishing emails had obvious red flags—poor grammar, strange formatting, or sketchy links. Today, with AI-powered tools at their disposal, cybercriminals are far more sophisticated. And if they’re getting smarter, cybersecurity must become smarter still.
The unbearable cost of a data breach
In 2024, the average cost of a data breach soared to nearly $5 million1. And that’s just the average—meaning many breaches resulted in far greater losses. While this number has been rising for years, 2024 saw a sharp uptick, underscoring how the widespread adoption of advanced AI tools is making cybercriminals smarter and attacks more costly than ever.

A few weeks ago, I saw a post on LinkedIn of a man surrounded by police officers. He was telling the story of how he physically hacked into an organisation, walking through security checkpoints, accessing restricted areas, and pushing his luck until he finally got caught. But this wasn’t a real attack—it was a penetration test, a controlled security exercise designed to identify vulnerabilities before actual criminals exploit them. Organisations conduct these tests because hackers are employing increasingly sophisticated social engineering techniques—manipulating people rather than systems—to bypass security and gain access.
