It operates through the following segments: Retail, Financial and Other. The Retail segment is involved in the resale of goods through its store chains. The Financial segment refers to the consumer credit operations granted by the Riachuelo card. The Other segment consists of factory operations, transport and leasing. The company was founded by Nevaldo Rocha and Newton Rocha on October 6, 1956 and is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
