TSLA Personal bias: I don't think Elon has taken on responsibility, as he said he would. He just said that to stabilize price. Tesla probably bores him to death now, because he has already achieved his mission of electrifying cars. He likes to work on tough problems, and Tesla isn't a tough problem any longer; he already cracked it. He probably hasn't worked on SpaceX either, because he solved reusable rockets.
