The Bio-based Chemicals segment includes ethyl acetate, bio-ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, crotonaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetic acid, bio-acetic acid, and paraldehyde. The company was founded by Karamshibhai Jethabhai Somaiya and Shantilal Karamshibhai Somaiya in 1940 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
